General

The realtime blocklist (RBL) is an database with IP addresses from which realtimeBLOCKLIST.COM does not recommend the acceptance of e-mail.

The RBL is queriable in realtime by e-mail systems though out the Internet, allowing mail server administrators to identify, tag or block incoming connections from IP addresses which realtimeBLOCKLIST.COM deems to be involved in the sending, hosting or origination of Unsolicited Bulk Email. This RBL also includes a list of IP addresses that are used in Botnet or for spreading malware/viruses. The RBL database is maintained by realtimeBLOCKLIST.COM specialists and some of it sponsors that are located in the Netherlands working 24/7 to list new confirmed spam issues and to delist resolved issues.

This RBL is non-public and access to this list is restricted to a few organisations. If you think you need access to this RBL please send us an e-mail.

History

Our RBL project started in 2007 as a private blacklist to block some ip's from our mail servers. After setting up some spam traps and developing some tools to analyzing the collected spam we decided to make this RBL public in 2012. From 2007 till 2013 we runned on a single server setup. Since 2014 we are running on a redundant setup on two different locations. This project is privately funded and sponsored by few company's.
